Robert Jensen is a professor in the School of Journalism at the University of Texas, a founding board member of the Third Coast Activist Resource Center, and a member of the board of Culture Reframed.

Jensen’s new book, The End of Patriarchy: Radical Feminism for Men, is out from Spinifex Press. It offers a critique of the pathology of patriarchy that is at the core of today’s crises.

Jensen’s previous recent book was Plain Radical: Living, Loving, and Learning to Leave the Planet Gracefully, published by Counterpoint under its Soft Skull imprint. This “polemical memoir” draws on Jensen’s long friendship with Jim Koplin, described in this essay. Kirkus Review called the book “A heartfelt book about an inspiring model of wisdom, self-awareness, and thoughtful engagement with the world.”

Jensen is also the author of Arguing for Our Lives: A User’s Guide to Constructive Dialogue (City Lights, 2013) and We Are All Apocalyptic Now: On the Responsibilities of Teaching, Preaching, Reporting, Writing, and Speaking Out (CreateSpace, 2013).
